Many store owners find that the refrigerated display cabinets they purchased tend to fog up, which significantly impairs the display effect of the items inside. Some customers cannot clearly see the goods in the cabinets, which seriously affects their purchasing decisions. So, how to deal with fogging on the glass of refrigerated display cabinets?
First of all, we should understand why the glass of refrigerated display cabinets fogs up. The temperature inside a refrigerated display cabinet ranges from 0 to 8 degrees Celsius. Especially in southern regions or summer, when there is an excessive temperature difference indoors or high ambient humidity, the low-temperature glass inside the cabinet comes into contact with the hot air outside the cabinet, leading to condensation. High outdoor humidity will cause a large number of water droplets to form on the edges and glass of the refrigerated cabinet, and this problem is particularly serious for display cabinets made of stainless steel. This is also a drawback of direct-cooling display cabinets with glass doors.
The water droplets can be wiped off with a soft cloth, and reducing the humidity around the cabinet will also help. Wiping the glass door with dish soap also yields a good result. For cabinets with an internal temperature of 0 to 5 degrees Celsius, ordinary curved glass can be used instead of heat-reflective glass. Simply install an anti-condensation fan and an air box on the cabinet body to blow air toward the air return vent through the air duct. This will form a sealing film on the inner surface of the glass, eliminating the temperature difference on the glass while keeping the inside of the cabinet dry, thus effectively preventing the formation of condensation.
